DIY Lavender clothes starch

This DIY Lavender clothes starch smells great and does the work!

Commercially available starch have additives, fragrances and harmful chemicals. By making your own, you control the content and know what is in it. Chemicals can trigger skin allergies like eczma and psoriasis.

  • DIY lavender clothes starch recipe
  • Boil 2 cups water.
  • Let cool.
  • Mix in 2 tbsps of cornstarch with 2 tbsps of cold water.
  • Mix in the boiled water and add 3 drops of lavender essential oil.
  • Note: One teaspoon of cornstarch will give a very light starch.
  • Pour into a BPA-free spray bottle
  • Only make what you need as it will not keep long.
  • Don’t forget to use a plant-derived, Dioxane-free laundry detergent to wash your clothes.
