The major food corporation General Mills is investing in kale chips, adding to its growing list of vegetable-based snacks.
Rhythm Superfoods is a company dedicated to making healthy alternatives to junk food snacks. They use air-crisping methods to make their popular kale chips.
General Mills recently announced that they led a $6 million investment round in Rhythm Superfoods.
General Mills also invested $3 million on Rhythm in 2016, which the company used to launch their new line of beet chips.
“We are elated with our new investment from 301 Inc. and look forward to continuing this strategic partnership and seeing what we can accomplish for the brand together,” Rhythm Superfoods CEO Scott Jensen said.
The great thing about kale chips is that they are easy to make, so you can create your own recipes based on your taste.

Directions:
. Remove leaves of 2 heads of kale from stalk and place in a bowl
. Add 2 Tbsp of olive oil, spreading evenly on all leaves
. Sprinkle 1 tsp of Himalayan salt on leaves evenly
. Add 1/3 tsp of cayenne pepper to the kale leaves
. Bake in oven at 250 F for 25 minutes
. Keep an eye on the kale as it can burn easily
. Cool the leaves and store in a BPA-free container
