Scientists say: Never leave your woman if she has these qualities

Never leave your woman if she has these qualities, and if you don’t believe us, believe scientific research. Yes, you heard that right!

Valentine’s Day is around the corner. It is a time to celebrate the special person in your life with little gifts, great food, and affection. It’s also a time to celebrate your significant other for who they are.

We are thrilled that scientists have finally taken the time to observe the complexity and beauty of love, and the qualities that make relationships work in the long run.

Let’s take a look at some of our favorite qualities that science has deemed priceless.

1. She is smart:

Ideally, you want your partner to be smart, as smart as you or even smarter than you. She will keep challenging you in a good way. An intellectual stimulation is healthy.

Lawrence Whalley, professor emeritus of the University of Aberdeen has spent a long time researching dementia, and he found that being with a smarter woman can actually help protect you against dementia.

The thing a boy is never told he needs to do if he wants to live a longer life — but what he should do — is marry an intelligent woman,” Whalley noted. “There is no better buffer than intelligence.”

2. She is honest:

Honesty is super important, especially in a close relationship. When certain things are hidden, it can spell trouble. That is why it is important that your partner is honest and open with you, and that she tells you what you need to hear – not just what you want to hear.

Studies have shown that men highly value honesty in a partner.

3. She is super positive:

Are you a glass half empty or a glass half full kind of person? The power of positive thinking is so underrated. It can change the way you see every situation you come across. What better way to stay positive than to have a positive person around you?

Research has shown that negative thinking can significantly affect your health.

4. She is kind:

Yes this one may seem obvious, but it should not be overlooked. Kindness goes long way. Saying thank you and having a pure heart is important. Psychologist John Gottmann of the University of Washington has studied married couples for over 40 years.

In his research, he found the following about healthy marriages:  “They are scanning social environment for things they can appreciate and say thank you for. They are building this culture of respect and appreciation very purposefully,” he said in an interview with the Atlantic.

5. She doesn’t hold a grudge:

If you have found a woman who doesn’t hold onto past grievances, who forgives easily, never let her go.

A study by researchers from Luther College, the Duke University, and the Harvard Divinity School showed that those who forgive unconditionally can live longer lives.

The magic qualities:  A woman who is kind, loyal, smart, supportive and fun is a true gem. Keep her close as you may have a diamond in you hands and not know it.
