Strawberry and mint smoothie

We love smoothie recipes, because they are a great way to get the nutrition you need into delicious drinks that you love.

This smoothie recipe features strawberries, which are high in vitamin C, and the cooling properties of mint.

Let’s take a closer took at the ingredients in this smoothie recipe.

Coconut milk:
Organic coconuts are packed with healthy fats. Coconut milk is packed with vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5, and B6 as well as iron, selenium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. Coconut milk is a great alternative for people who are lactose intolerant and cannot have dairy.

Mint:
This refreshing organic herb is a favorite for teas and mouth care because of its refreshing properties. An animal study published in the Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine journal showed that peppermint extract was able to reduce LDL cholesterol levels.

Raw honey:
It is rich in antioxidants, and has shown the ability to relieve coughs, boost the immune system, aid in skin and hair health, and much more.

Strawberries:
They provide an impressive amount of vitamin C, with a whopping 149% of the recommended daily value per cup. Strawberries are a perfect immune boosting food.

Process the following ingredients in a blender:
2 cups of strawberries, frozen
1 handful of mint leaves
1/4 cup of coconut milk
4 tbsp of raw honey
If you want to make it a green smoothie: Add 1 cup of fresh spinach
