This gut healing homemade kombucha ginger ale is a great substitute to sugar laden sodas and can help soothe an uneasy stomach.

Ginger is a spicy, aromatic herb with many health benefits. It is great for soothing many stomach ailments, aids with digestion, is effective against nausea and vomiting. It also contains potent compounds called gingerols, which may help fight colon cancer.

Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients in this gut healing homemade kombucha ginger ale.

Kombucha:
Thousands of years ago, the ancient Chinese discovered Kombucha, which they named “immortal health elixir” for its many health benefits. Kombucha is a mix of bacteria and yeast. It is great for the gut and is even shown to help here gastric ulcers in a 2010 study.

Lemons:

Lemons aid in digestion and remove toxins in the lymph glands, colon, and bladder.

Directions:

Process the following ingredients in a juicer:

3-inch piece of ginger root
1/2 a lemon
Add 1/2 cup of kombucha and 1/2 cup of filtered water
Add 1 tbsp of coconut nectar to taste
