  • Much has been said on the detrimental effects of sugar on our health.
  • A new MRI technique even showed that sugar feeds cancer. Artificial sweeteners that are touted as healthier alternatives such as sucralose (Splenda) and High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS)  have also shown health risks.
  • Desserts like ice cream, cake, pies, and more are loaded with sugar or artificial sweeteners.
  • Thankfully, we do not need to rely on these confections to satisfy our cravings, because nature provides all the sweet goodness that we need.
  • Almonds:
  • They are excellent sources of calcium, vitamin E, folic acid, omega-3 fatty acids and fiber. Almonds are natural powerhouses and have shown benefits in lowering cholesterol, brain health, heart health and weight loss.
  • Bananas:
  • They are an excellent source of natural sugars.
  • Bananas have shown health benefits in the area of cancer prevention because of their high levels of antioxidants. They also help aid in digestion, promote healthy bones and lower blood pressure.
  • Coconut oil:
  • It is rich in nutrients such as vitamin E, which keeps skin and hair healthy, and medium chain fatty acids such as Capric Acid, Caprylic Acid, Caproic Acid & Lauric Acid. These acids increase the rate of metabolism in your body and helps with weight loss.
  • Coconut oil may aslo helps increase good cholesterol and reduces bad cholesterol.

  • Blend the following ingredients:
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tablespoons of cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 2 cups of almond milk
  • 1/2 a cup of coconut flakes
  • 1/3 cup of raw almonds
  • Process ingredients in a blender
  • Make sure ingredients are organic
