Prostate health smoothie

Prostate health smoothie

According to Linus Pauling Institute  in Oregon, “Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in American men.”

As we age, the risk for developing prostate cancer increases, so it is important to maintain a healthy prostate.

Adding red pigmented foods rich in Lycopene such as tomatoes to your diet can go a long way in maintaining a healthy prostate. Lycopene is a vital antioxidant for the prostate. A high consumption of lycopene rich foods may help reduce the risk of prostate cancer.

Try to make this smoothie 2 to 3 times a week for breakfast or lunch.

Combine with a plant derived diet which includes veggies and fruits rich in Lycopene such tomatoes, grapefruits, watermelon and guava.
