Simple Colon Health

The colon is essential for a healthy digestive system.

The purpose of the colon is to process waste from the food you eat, turn it into feces, and send it out of your body.

Massaging the colon area can actually help the colon function better.

Waste travels through the colon from the lower right side of the abdomen, a little less than half way from the right hip to the belly button then up the ascending colon across the transverse colon and down the descending colon.

It takes around 24 hours for food to pass through your system completely.

It also takes about six to eight hours for food to pass through the stomach and small intestine.

Food then enters your large intestine (colon) for further digestion, absorption of water and, finally, elimination of undigested food.

This is a healthy way for you to massage your colon in order to prevent constipation and help with bowel movements.
