Apricot and geranium DIY hand salve

Apricot and geranium DIY hand salve

With the pandemic upon us we wash our hands more frequently. This is a fast and inexpensive apricot and geranium DIY hand salve.

We have included apricot oil because it is deeply moisturizing and will help with cracked skin.

We love geranium essential oil because of its delightful scent and nourishing properties.

You may substitute with lavender or rose essential oils if you wish.

What you need for this apricot and geranium DIY hand salve:

2 tsp beeswax

3 tbsp of raw olive oil

10 drops apricot oil

8 drops of geranium essential oil

Heat the 3 oils just below a simmer for 2 minutes.

Add the beeswax and stir it in until it melts.

Pour into a BPA-free glass jar or reusable canning glass jar.

It will take about 3 hours to completely set.

Keep refrigerated up to 6 months.

Use as needed and we highly recommend using at night and wearing cotton gloves to let the salve absorb overnight in the skin.

You can find the essential oils at Mountain Rose Herbs.

Your hands will thank you
