  • 3. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV):
  • Apple Cider Vinegar is potent:
  • Fleas hate it. Mix 2tsp of ACV with 1 cup of water, spray your animals and rub it into their fur.
You can also add apple cider vinegar into your animals’ drinking water. Start with 1 tsp and slowly increase the amount to two tablespoons for 1 gallon of water.
  • 4. Eucalyptus:
  • Place cotton balls soaked in eucalyptus essential oil around the house. Keep out of  your pets reach.
  • 5. Diatomaceous Earth:
  • Diatomaceous Earth was approved and registered by the Environmental Protection Agency and can be used to kill indoor and outdoor crawling insects
  • Cats are more sensitive than dogs:
  • Scruff your cat by the neck to apply edible diatomaceous earth. This method has a calming effect on cats.

Sprinkle a thin layer of edible diatomaceous earth all over your cat’s body. Do not get the dust in your cat’s eyes, nose or mouth. Once applied, keep it for 24 hours and shampoo after.
  • NOTE: The ultimate weapon with fleas is the Flea Comb.
  • Yes, you can use on your cat too. Keep your house and your pets as clean as possible. Wash your dog more often during the summer. Vacuum daily. Mop floors daily with 1 part white distilled vinegar and 5 parts warm water.
  • Wear a mask as not to inhale the Diatomaceous Earth. It can be harmful if inhaled.
  • I recommend Mountain Rose Herbs as a reputable source for essential oils and spices.
