Replace old plants in the fall

Take a green step and consider replacing old plants in your garden in the Fall.

Strangely, when it comes to planting, we all think only of spring.

In fact, fall is a good time to do that.

Fall is almost here, so start your selection of plants.

You can plant all kinds of things from cool-season veggies, perennials to deciduous trees and shrubs.

The ideal time for fall planting is about six weeks before the first hard frost.

Evenings are cooler and you will need less water to start up the plants. Rainfall is more plentiful too.

Mulch and ground bark will also help keep plants moist.

Mother nature will thank you!
