Super fresh summer mint lemonade

It’s summertime! The warm weather means delicious summer drinks and cocktails that will help cool you down. This lemonade is perfect for lounging by the pool, a trip to the beach, or a picnic with your favorite people. Let’s take a look at the ingredients in this super fresh summer mint lemonade.

Lemon juice:
It is high in vitamin C, which helps strengthen the immune system, and also flushes out toxins by acting as a diuretic.

Mint:
This refreshing organic herb is a favorite for teas and mouth care because of its refreshing properties. An animal study published in the Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine journal showed that peppermint extract was able to reduce LDL cholesterol levels.

Directions:

Add 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice and 1 sprig of mint to a BPA-free pitcher
Add a lemon, sliced as well
Add 3 tbsp of coconut nectar
Muddle the mint and lemon slices to release the flavor
Add 8 cups of water to the pitcher and stir
Add more sweetener to taste if necessary
Serve with crushed ice
