This powerful cancer fighting cruciferous vegetable smoothie is packed to the brim with some of the most potent foods on earth.

Most leafy green vegetables are part of the cruciferous family. Health experts have touted the benefits of leafy greens for years. They are truly nature’s potent multi-vitamins.

Eating them on a regular basis will get you a good amount of vitamin A, B, C, K not to mention some folic acid and potassium and of course fiber.

Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients in this powerful cancer fighting cruciferous vegetable smoothie.

Apples:
They are packed with antioxidants, which are important for our overall health. Don’t forget to eat one a day to keep the doctor away!

Bananas:
They are an excellent source of natural sugars. Bananas have shown health benefits in the area of cancer prevention because of their high levels of antioxidants. They also help aid in digestion, promote healthy bones, lower blood pressure, and more.

Broccoli:
Broccoli is part of the cruciferous vegetable family, which means potent compounds like called kaempferol and isothiocyanates, which help reduce inflammation. It also contains compounds that may help fight gastric cancer.

Carrots:
Carrots are packed with vitamin A, which is a key nutrient and a potential cancer fighter. Recent research from the Thomas Jefferson University shows that vitamin A has the ability to reverse pre-cancerous cells back to normal breast cells.

Kale:

2 carrots
