  • With the Coronavirus upon us we wanted to share a great immune booster juice to help your immune system and gut flora.
  • This juice is armed with nature’s very best:
  • Apples:
  • They are packed with an antioxidant called quercitin, which is known as a powerful immune system booster.
  • Carrots:
  • They are an excellent source of beta-carotene, which is a potent infection fighting antioxidant.
  • Ginger:
  • It contains volatile oils such as zingiberene, gingerol, and shogoal which have shown anti-inflammatory and antibacterial and anti viral properties. The antibacterial properties can help kill the bacteria that causes infections.
  • Lemon juice:
  • Vitamin C is very well known as an immune boosting antioxidant, and lemons provide plenty of it. A strong immune system can help fight infections.
  • Raw honey:
  • Honey may help relieve coughs and trouble sleeping.  A single dose of buckwheat honey was just as effective as a single dose of dextromethorphan in relieving nocturnal cough. Raw honey has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties, which help fuel the immune system.
  • Turmeric:
  • Turmeric is a potent spice for many ailment and overall health. It is often referred to as a superstar spice or the “Indian solid gold.” It has anti-inflammatory properties, which help relieve congestion, and it has antiviral and antibacterial properties, which aid in clearing infections and viruses.
  • Process the following ingredients in a juicer:
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 apple
  • 1/4 tsp of turmeric
  • 1 tbsp of raw honey
  • 2 tbsps of lemon juice
  • 1/4 inch piece of ginger
