Anti-inflammatory packed seasoning

  • This anti-inflammatory seasoning goes well  with quinoa, chicken, fish, and more.
  • Cayenne pepper: One of cayenne peppers most potent properties is its ability as an anti-inflammatory agent. It is believed that the hotter the pepper, the stronger the anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Cumin: This spice is packed with antioxidants and vitamins, which help kill free radicals and reduce inflammation.
  • Garlic: It has strong anti-inflammatory properties and is even known to reduce the inflammation caused by arthritis.
  • Olive oil: it has a wide variety of polyphenols, which are substances found in olive oil (and many other foods) that help reverse pro-inflammatory enzymes and molecules in the body. Just 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil a day can help with inflammation.
  • Onions: Onions are an excellent source of a sulfur molecule called Onionin A, which inhibits the activity of the white blood cells that cause inflammation. Onions are also packed with antioxidants, the most potent being quercetin. This antioxidant also provides anti-inflammatory benefits.
  • Oregano: It contains an active ingredient called beta-caryophyllin, which according to a study from Bonn University has shown the ability to heal inflammation.
  • Paprika: Like cayenne pepper, paprika contains the active ingredient called capsaicin, which has shown powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Blend the following ingredients:
  • 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 an onion chopped
  • 1/4 tsp of dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp of Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • 2 tbsp of raw olive oil
  • Make sure ingredients are organic
  • Store in the fridge in a BPA-free jar
