10 tips to spice up Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is around the corner. It is a time to celebrate the special person in your life with little gifts, great food, and affection. Do you want to start planning ahead to make this the best Valentine’s ever?

Let’s take a look at 10 tips to spice up Valentine’s Day.

1. Breakfast in bed:
This is the perfect way to start your day. Sneak into the kitchen before your love wakes up, and make her a deliciously healthy meal. Indulge in delectable fruits from the season, but try to include a few strawberries. Don’t forget a red rose.

2. Create a sensual atmosphere:
Many plan on a beautiful Valentine’s outing for dinner, but we will get to that later. It is also fun to create a romantic setting at home. Fill the house with candles, rose petals, and play love songs in the background.

3. Plan a surprise:
A big part of romance is being spontaneous or doing something that your love is not expecting. Whether it’s something small like a vacation, a hot balloon ride, plan a surprise for that special someone. You can blind fold him/her on the way to a restaurant for a true surprise.

4. Send flowers to the workplace:
Find a website or flower service to send flowers to her/his workplace. It spells love and ” your special” to give flowers.

5. Send sweet nothings:
During the day, send little texts messages or emails to let your lover know that they are on your mind. Make sure not to give any surprises away.

6. Take a shower or bath together:
Sharing a shower or bath together can be very intimate and sensual. Try an organic bubble bath, and don’t forget to throw in a massage or two and some sweet kisses. The rest, we will leave up to you…

7. Do something you both enjoy:
Don’t feel like you have to buy into the traditions of Valentine’s Day if it’s something that you don’t want to do. Maybe you just want to stay in and watch a movie, or plan a weekend trip at a nice bed and breakfast? It’s totally up to you!

8. Write a love song or poem:
Writing a song or poem is so much more personal than a card, because it is something that truly comes from your heart and is personal. It you are an artist play a song.

Whether you are a great singer, or cannot carry a tune at all, it doesn’t matter – as long as it’s sincere.

9. Plan a fancy outing:
This is a day to spare no expense. Get dressed to the nines, go dancing, and eat at a fancy restaurant that you have always wanted to try. You can even call your florist to have flowers waiting at your table when you arrive. Don’t forget to make a reservation!

10. Quality time:
By far the most important thing – spend great quality time with each other. Don’t leave each other’s sight. This day is all about the two of you. Connect, touch, sing, dance, just be YOU and it will go a long way.

Happy loving!
